Ylang in Gold Nectar by M. Micallef, launched in 2020 and crafted by Jean-Claude Astier, is a luxurious Oriental Floral fragrance that balances the sweetness of ylang-ylang with woody warmth and subtle fruitiness. The composition opens with litchi and exotic fruits, creating an initial burst of freshness before settling into the rich heart of ylang-ylang, rose, and magnolia. This floral bouquet is then anchored by a base of sandalwood, vanilla, and musk, which adds depth and comfort to the overall scent.
This fragrance blooms best when applied to pulse points for an hour before it settles into its full depth. The fruity top notes are fleeting, so aim for a more targeted application rather than a wide spray. It’s perfect for daytime wear as the warmth of the base notes pairs well with the sun.
