The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002, Comme des Garçons 3 by Mark Buxton is a fragrance that embodies the brand's avant-garde spirit. This composition opens with a fresh spicy accord featuring basil and pimento, which creates an immediate sense of vibrancy and energy. The heart notes of magnolia, jasmine, and freesia bring a floral warmth, while the base of woody and musky accords, including sandalwood and amber, offer depth and complexity. This fragrance is neither traditional nor conventional, much like the brand's approach to fashion.
Apply two sprays to the pulse points. The spicy top notes are bright but fleeting, making way for the rich base notes that develop over time. This fragrance is best enjoyed close to skin rather than diffused in a room.

Mark Buxton
The blind-test prodigyMark Buxton, born in England and raised near Hamburg, entered perfumery almost by accident: at 21, a German game show challenge to identify 600 perfumes by scent alone caught the attention of Haarmann & Reimer, who offered him a place in their Paris training program.
