The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Cuir de Russie by Creed was launched in 1953 and is one of the oldest fragrances in the brand's Private Collection. Created by James Henry Creed for King Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie, this Woody Aromatic composition blends leather with citrus and smoky notes to create a captivating blend that reflects its royal heritage. The essence of a birch tree found only along the Black Sea in Russia adds a distinctive depth, while sandalwood, ambergris, and bergamot enhance the overall warmth and sophistication.

How to wear it

Apply Cuir de Russie to your pulse points for a subtle yet lasting effect. The top notes are bright but fade quickly, making the woody and leathery base notes the focal point as they settle into your skin over time.
