Launched in 2018 by Dior and crafted by François Demachy, Joy is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women that captures the essence of modern elegance. The composition opens with bright citrus notes from bergamot and mandarin orange, leading to a heart of jasmine and Grasse rose, which are then enveloped in a warm, powdery base of sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, and benzoin. Joy is neither overly sweet nor overpowering; instead, it offers a harmonious blend that feels both luxurious and approachable.
Joy is best applied in light, even sprays. Its bright top notes are fleeting, so a quick refresh after two hours can enhance the overall experience. The warm base notes develop gradually over time, making it ideal for daytime wear when you want to feel both polished and comfortable.
