Launched in 2018 by François Demachy, New Look 1947 by Dior captures the essence of Christian Dior’s iconic fashion aesthetic from 1947. This fragrance opens with pink pepper, adding a spicy kick to an otherwise floral composition. The heart is dominated by white and yellow florals like ylang-ylang, jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, and rose, creating a lush bouquet that feels both classic and modern. The base notes of benzoin and vanilla provide warmth and comfort, rounding out the composition with a sense of lasting elegance.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — the pink pepper top note is bright but fleeting. The floral heart will emerge within minutes, and the warm vanilla base will linger for hours. It's best suited for daytime wear when you want a scent that evolves gently throughout the day.
