Eau Mage by Diptyque was launched in 2011 and crafted by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. This fragrance opens with a bright tangerine note that contrasts sharply with the earthy, woody base of cashmeran and musk. The heart of rose adds a soft floral touch, grounding the composition while ambergris brings an animalic warmth that is both unexpected and captivating. Eau Mage feels like two fragrances in one, shifting from a crisp citrus opening to a deep, powdery finish that lingers long after the initial burst.
