Salem Gothic by DS&Durga is a composition that marries the ethereal with the earthy. Launched in 2023 and crafted by perfumers David Seth Moltz and Kavi Moltz, this fragrance begins with the delicate notes of violet and yarrow, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The heart of the scent is a captivating blend of calla lily and spicy notes, while the base layers in mossy sea accords and woody sandalwood, grounding the overall composition. It’s a complex interplay that feels both modern and lasting.
Salem Gothic is best applied in moderation; a single spray allows the delicate violet to balance with the earthy base notes. The marine accord is most noticeable within the first hour, so wait for it to integrate before layering again if needed.
