The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2012 by the Italian fashion house Etro, Greene Street is a fragrance that embodies the brand's signature blend of elegance and warmth. The composition begins with fresh and spicy notes like nutmeg, basil, and pink pepper, creating an invigorating yet complex opening. As it settles, the scent introduces balsamic and woody accords alongside incense and violet, resulting in a warm and enveloping fragrance that is both modern and lasting. The powdery base of ambergris and labdanum anchors the composition with a sense of comfort and depth.
Greene Street has moderate longevity and sillage, so aim for two to three sprays to ensure its warm spicy notes are noticeable throughout the day. It pairs well with cooler weather but can also be worn year-round as it maintains a balanced warmth.
