Sun Emperors by Ex Nihilo, launched in 2023 and crafted by perfumer Jordi Fernández, is an Oriental Woody fragrance that balances warmth with depth. The composition opens with saffron, adding a luxurious and spicy brightness to the top notes. This leads into a heart of jasmine and tobacco, creating a contrast between floral sweetness and smoky earthiness. The base notes of vanilla, patchouli, akigalawood, and benzoin form an amber woody accord that is both warm and silky, grounding the entire fragrance in rich, enveloping tones.
Apply Sun Emperors to pulse points for an intimate experience — it blooms close to the skin rather than projecting strongly into a room. The base notes take about an hour to fully settle in, so give it time to evolve throughout the day.
