The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2016 by Giorgio Armani and crafted by perfumers Cecile Matton and Julie Massé, Pivoine Suzhou Soie de Nacre is a floral fragrance that balances freshness with warmth. The composition opens with raspberry and pink pepper, introducing a burst of fruity zest and spicy energy before giving way to the delicate floral notes of peony and May rose. These florals are further enhanced by mandarin orange, adding a citrusy brightness that cuts through any heaviness. The base comprises musk, amber, and patchouli, creating an enveloping warmth that feels both intimate and luxurious.
Apply this fragrance lightly at first. The bright top notes will fade within an hour, giving way to the rich base that blooms slowly on skin. It’s best for daytime or evening wear when you want a scent that evolves with you.
