Amandine Clerc Marie crafted The Heart of Leo for Gucci in 2024, drawing inspiration from the star-studded sky and the Lion constellation. This fragrance opens with a burst of black currant, creating an immediate sense of vibrancy and freshness that contrasts beautifully with its warm, spicy heart notes of olibanum and myrrh. The base of myrrh adds a rich, smoky undertone that grounds the composition in opulence and warmth. The Heart of Leo is part of Gucci’s Alchemist’s Garden collection, which transforms olfactory elements into sophisticated elixirs, capturing the spirit of nature with each layer.

Grasse-born, Firmenich-trainedAmandine Clerc-Marie is a French perfumer born in Grasse, where her mother also worked in the perfume industry. She trained at ISIPCA and spent more than ten years working alongside Michel Almairac before joining Firmenich in 2011 as a senior perfumer.
