Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Sun by Jil Sander was launched in 1989 as a proof of the brand’s minimalist elegance and sophisticated simplicity. Created by perfumer Pierre Bourdon, Sun is an oriental floral fragrance that balances sweet and warm notes with a powdery, woody base. The composition opens with fruity and citrusy top notes like Amalfi lemon and bergamot, which give way to a heart of African orange flower, palisander rosewood, and ylang-ylang, creating an elegant floral bouquet. As the scent develops, amber, vanilla, and tonka bean emerge, enveloping the wearer in a warm, spicy embrace.
Sun by Jil Sander has a long-lasting base that blooms gradually. Apply two sprays on pulse points and allow it to develop on your skin for at least 15 minutes before heading out. This ensures the full depth of its warm, spicy notes is present throughout the day.
