Lotus Blossom & Water Lily by Jo Malone London was launched in 2008, offering a fresh take on floral colognes with its blend of citrus and aquatic notes. The fragrance opens with the bright zest of grapefruit, bergamot, and mandarin orange, creating an immediate sense of freshness and vitality. This gives way to the delicate scent of lotus and water lily, which are complemented by freesia and jasmine, adding a soft floral heart. The base notes of guaiac wood, incense, amber, and sandalwood provide warmth and depth, grounding the composition in a powdery musk.
This cologne is best applied in light layers to let each note unfold gradually. The citrus top notes are quite bright and can be overpowering if used too heavily, so aim for one or two sprays. It’s perfect for daytime wear as it maintains a fresh yet comforting presence throughout the day.
