The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Metal Chypre by Juliette Has A Gun is a composition that bridges the gap between modernity and tradition. Launched in 2017, it was created by Romano Ricci, who sought to blend contemporary elements with classic chypre notes. The fragrance opens with pink pepper and bergamot, creating an initial burst of freshness before transitioning into suede and iris, which lend a soft, powdery warmth. The base notes of patchouli, amber, ambroxan, white musk, and tonka bean anchor the scent in earthy depth, making it both modern and lasting.

How to wear it

Metal Chypre settles into your skin over time, so it's best applied in light layers. The initial top notes are bright but fade quickly, allowing the powdery and woody base to emerge. It pairs well with cooler weather, where its earthy warmth feels particularly comforting.
