Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2006 by L'Artisan Parfumeur, Fou d'Absinthe is a fresh and spicy aromatic fougere created by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti. The composition opens with the sharp, bracing notes of wormwood and star anise, evoking the intense spirit from which it takes its name. The heart brings warmth through nutmeg and cloves, while the base offers a woody depth with patchouli, pine needles, and incense. This fragrance captures the essence of absinthe — both its clarity and complexity.
Apply sparingly — the wormwood and star anise notes are potent. Give it time to develop on skin; the base will bloom after about an hour, creating a warm, woody presence that lasts through the day.
