Created by Shyamala Maisondieu and launched in 2013, Bloody Wood by Les Liquides Imaginaires is a distinctive composition that balances the richness of red wine with soft woody notes and fruity accents. The fragrance opens with a bold splash of red wine, which intertwines seamlessly with rose and violet, creating an unexpected harmony. As it evolves, cherry and raspberry bring a sweet yet sophisticated layer, while oak and sandalwood anchor the scent in earthy warmth.
Bloody Wood is best applied in layers. Start with a light spritz to let the fruity and floral notes unfold first; then add another layer after about half an hour for the woody base to fully integrate. This fragrance pairs well with cooler evenings, as its warmth complements the chill in the air.
