Louise Turner crafted Beaute du Diable in 2019, a fragrance that balances the bright green freshness of absinthe with the warm spiciness of coriander and clove. The gin note adds an unexpected twist, cutting through the sweetness of carnation and ylang-ylang to create a complex aromatic profile. This unisex scent evolves from a sharp and vibrant top to a woody base that includes labdanum and haitian vetiver, grounding the composition in earthy warmth.
This fragrance has a strong opening that settles into its base notes over time. Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points for a balanced experience — the gin and absinthe are particularly assertive at first but give way to a more nuanced woody warmth as the day progresses.
