Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Poivre by Caron, launched in 1954 and crafted by Michel Morsetti, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that captures the essence of French elegance with its warm and spicy character. The composition opens with a bold burst of clove and pepper, followed by a rich heart of carnation, geranium, rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and tuberose. This floral warmth is grounded by woody notes of oakmoss, opoponax, sandalwood, and vetiver, creating an enduring complexity that feels both classic and lasting.
Poivre has moderate longevity and sillage, so apply it twice to ensure its warmth stays close to your skin. The spicy opening is intense but fades within an hour, giving way to the rich floral heart that carries through the day.
