Spiritual, crafted by Jean-Claude Astier and launched by M. Micallef in 2018, is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that balances citrus freshness with warm, spicy notes and a rich woody base. Opening with the bright zest of bergamot and lemon, it quickly transitions into pink pepper and black currant, creating a dynamic tension between freshness and warmth. The heart is anchored by benzoin and incense, adding depth and a subtle smokiness that complements the vanilla and amber in the dry down. This composition feels both comforting and invigorating, as if walking through an aromatic labyrinth where each turn reveals a new layer of complexity.
One or two sprays are sufficient to capture its full essence. The citrus notes fade within an hour, but the warm spicy and woody base continues to evolve on skin throughout the day. It's best for daytime wear when you want something that starts fresh and becomes increasingly comforting as the hours pass.
