Encelade by Marc-Antoine Barrois was launched in 2022, crafted by perfumer Quentin Bisch. This aromatic green fragrance opens with a vibrant note of rhubarb that introduces an unexpected freshness and tanginess. The heart of cedar adds depth and warmth, while the base notes of vetiver, sandalwood, tonka bean, and leather create an earthy and powdery backdrop. Encelade is neither overwhelming nor understated; it strikes a harmonious balance between its fresh top note and its rich, warm base.
For a longer-lasting experience, apply Encelade directly to pulse points and layer it over a moisturizer. The rhubarb note is bright but fleeting, so the warmth of the base will carry you through the day best if applied to warmer areas like your neck or wrists.
