The story behind the bottle.
French Flower by Matière Première was launched in 2022 and crafted by the perfumer Aurélien Guichard. This unisex fragrance opens with a bright pear note that introduces a fresh, fruity aroma. The heart of French Flower is dominated by tuberose and orange blossom, creating an intricate white floral bouquet. Nigerian ginger adds a subtle warmth, while ambroxan provides an animalic undertone that grounds the composition. Chinese tea brings a green, slightly herbaceous element to balance the sweetness.
Apply French Flower liberally for an immediate burst of freshness. The fruity top notes fade quickly, but the floral heart and animalic base linger throughout the day. It's best suited for daytime wear when you want a fresh, elegant aroma that evolves over time.
