Launched in 2013 and crafted by perfumer Anne-Sophie Behaghel, North by Mendittorosa is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that captures the essence of a crisp, invigorating day. The composition opens with fresh spicy and aldehydic notes, creating an ozonic freshness reminiscent of a brisk wind through pine trees. This initial burst gives way to a heart of aromatic florals, balancing the sharpness with delicate sweetness. As it settles into its woody base, North retains a subtle warmth that lingers like a comforting presence.
North's aldehydic top notes are bright but fleeting, so a second application after an hour can help maintain its fresh character. The woody base is best experienced close to the skin rather than from a distance, making it ideal for intimate settings or cooler weather.
