Fantastic Basilic by Montale, launched in 2022 and crafted by Pierre Montale, is a composition that balances fresh spiciness with aromatic and green notes, setting the stage for an intriguing olfactory experience. The fragrance opens with basil and kumquat, creating a vibrant and zesty freshness that gradually gives way to the rich complexity of tuberose and frangipani. Underneath, benzoin and tonka bean add warmth and depth, grounding the scent in a subtle amber base.
For best effect, apply Fantastic Basilic in light layers. The citrus and green notes are vivid but fleeting, while the tuberose and amber base need time to develop on skin. A single spray during the day will provide a fresh, aromatic presence that evolves into a warm, rich finish by evening.
