The story behind the bottle.

Scentsation editorial

Eau de Basilic Pourpre, launched by Hermès in 2022, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of a vibrant basil display at a farmer's market. Perfumer Christine Nagel has crafted this scent around a fresh and aromatic blend of bergamot, basil, geranium, spices, and patchouli. The top note of bergamot adds a zesty brightness, while the heart of basil and geranium brings a lush green vibrancy. The base notes of spices and patchouli ground the composition with warmth and earthiness.

How to wear it

This cologne is best applied in light sprays to the pulse points. The top notes of bergamot and basil dissipate quickly, so reapply as needed throughout the day to maintain its freshness. For a longer-lasting experience, layer it over a moisturizer.
