The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2007 by Guerlain, Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic was created by Marie Salamagne and has since become one of the most popular entries in the Aqua Allegoria line. The fragrance features a vibrant mandarin orange paired with fresh basil, setting a citrus-herbal tone that has defined this collection. Opening with bright clementine and bitter orange, it transitions into a heart of green tea and ivy, before settling on a base of chamomile, peony, sandalwood, and amber. This composition captures the essence of a fresh, invigorating day, where the crispness of citrus is balanced by herbal notes that add depth.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points in the morning. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting, so let it settle for a few minutes before heading out. This fragrance is best enjoyed close to the skin rather than across a room, allowing its herbal warmth to envelop you throughout the day.
