The story behind the bottle.
Mitsouko Extract, launched in 1919 by Jacques Guerlain for Guerlain, is a chypre fruity fragrance that combines mossy and earthy accords with warm spices and citrus. The composition opens with bergamot and citruses, which give way to a heart of jasmine, rose, peach, lilac, and ylang-ylang. At its base, oakmoss, cinnamon, vetiver, and amber create a rich blend that is both warm and comforting. This fragrance embodies the luxurious and rare materials that Guerlain has always been known for, blending natural and synthetic components to create an enduring scent.
Apply lightly to pulse points — Mitsouko Extract develops over time, so a little goes a long way. The oakmoss and amber base notes bloom gradually, making it an excellent choice for evening wear when you want a scent that evolves throughout the night.
