Louban by Montale was launched in 2009 and crafted by Pierre Montale. This fragrance opens with a striking balance of ozonic freshness and warm spicy notes, creating an immediate sense of tension and contrast. The heart of Louban is anchored by rose and balsamic undertones, which add depth and warmth to the composition. As it settles into its woody base, accords of amber and oud emerge, bringing a smoky richness that grounds the entire fragrance in a sense of earthy sophistication.
Louban's ozonic top notes dissipate quickly, so apply two sprays to ensure the smoky base has time to develop. It pairs well with cooler weather but can also be worn year-round for its distinct balance of warmth and freshness.
