Jean-Christophe Hérault crafted Alien Man by Mugler in 2018, creating a fragrance that balances fresh spice with woody and aromatic notes. The composition opens with anise and dill, adding a sharp, green freshness that contrasts with the warm, leathery base of cashmere wood and white amber. This interplay between bright, herbaceous top notes and rich, earthy undertones gives Alien Man its distinctive character — crisp yet enveloping.
Alien Man blooms quickly on the skin, so a light spritz is enough to capture its full essence. The anise and dill top notes are fleeting but impactful, giving way to the lasting warmth of cashmere wood and amber after just a few minutes.

A teenage bottle of Joop, and a mentorJean-Christophe Hérault is a senior perfumer at IFF based in Paris, whose interest in fragrance began as a teenager after receiving a bottle of Joop! Homme. He later met legendary perfumer Pierre Bourdon, who agreed to mentor him into the craft.
