Launched in 1886 by Oriza L. Legrand and crafted by perfumer Hugo Lambert, Foin Fraichement Coupe is a lasting aromatic green fragrance that captures the essence of freshly cut hay. The composition opens with star anise and angelica, bringing a bright, spicy freshness that contrasts beautifully with the warm, powdery undertones of white musk and soapwort. The heart notes of mint and clary sage add a crisp herbal touch, while clover and ivy bring earthiness and depth to the blend.
One or two sprays are enough to capture the essence of Foin Fraichement Coupe. The star anise and mint top notes are bright but fleeting, so it’s best applied just before heading out for the day. The powdery musk base lingers well into the evening, making this fragrance ideal for a full-day wear.
