The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2012, Nawab of Oudh by Ormonde Jayne is a composition that seamlessly blends fresh and warm spices with rich floral and woody accords, crafted by the renowned perfumer Geza Schoen. This fragrance opens with bright citrus notes like bergamot and orange, tempered by green aldehydes for an unexpected freshness. As it evolves, rose and orchid bring depth to the heart, while pimento and cinnamon add a spicy warmth that is both inviting and complex. The base of oud, ambergris, and musk grounds the composition in a luxurious oriental embrace.
Nawab of Oudh has a slow build, so apply it an hour before you need to wear it for the full depth to emerge. It pairs beautifully with wool or cashmere textures and reads best in cooler settings where its warmth can shine.
