The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2002 by Ormonde Jayne, Tolu was crafted by the renowned perfumer Geza Schoen. This Oriental Woody fragrance is a harmonious blend of aromatic and sweet notes, with a warm spicy undertone that lends depth to its composition. The scent opens with fresh spices like juniper and clary sage before transitioning into a heart of orange blossom, orchid, rose, and lily-of-the-valley. These floral notes are anchored by the rich, balsamic warmth of Tolu Balsam, amber, tonka bean, and olibanum, creating a complex yet balanced aroma.
Apply Tolu with two sprays to allow its full range of notes to unfold. The fresh spicy top notes will dissipate within an hour, but the rich balsamic base will linger for hours, making it perfect for evening wear.
