The story behind the bottle.
Vanilla Smoke, crafted by perfumers Arnaud Winter and Constance Georges-Picot and launched in 2025 by Phlur, is an intriguing blend of warmth and depth. The fragrance opens with a smoky birch accord that sets the stage for the rich complexity to follow. Pink pepper adds a subtle spiciness, while bergamot brings a fresh citrus note. At its core, Vanilla Smoke combines vanilla and cacao with tonka bean and incense, creating an enveloping warmth that is both comforting and mysterious. The base notes of Peru balsam and amber anchor the composition, giving it a lasting presence.
Apply Vanilla Smoke sparingly, as its rich base notes will develop over time. The smoky and spicy top notes are ephemeral, so a light spritz is sufficient to let the deep vanilla and balsamic heart take center stage.
