Launched in 2005 and crafted by perfumer Annie Buzantian, Pure Turquoise by Ralph Lauren is a chypre floral that balances freshness with warmth. The fragrance opens with the bright, crisp scent of cactus flower and lily-of-the-valley, which gives way to soft florals like lily and orange blossom. At its heart, cassia adds a subtle spice, while birch and patchouli bring earthy depth. This composition is anchored by smoky leather and amber, creating an intriguing contrast between the lightness of its top notes and the richness of its base.
Apply Pure Turquoise in light layers — its bright top notes are most noticeable initially but give way to deeper, warmer tones over time. The smoky base notes develop gradually, so it’s best to let it settle before reapplying.
