Roja Dove launched Essence Rare in 2020, crafting a fragrance that balances the bright freshness of citrus and fruity notes with the rich warmth of woody and earthy accords. The composition opens with raspberry and blood orange, creating an initial burst of brightness and tanginess before transitioning into a heart of rose and jasmine. The base notes of moss, vetiver, sandalwood, and patchouli ground the fragrance, adding depth and complexity. Essence Rare is a proof of Roja Dove’s skill in blending classic accords with unexpected freshness.
One or two sprays are enough to capture Essence Rare’s full character. The citrus and fruity top notes are bright but short-lived, so it's best applied in the morning or early afternoon when you can appreciate its evolving layers throughout the day.
