Launched in 2017 by Roja Dove, Pierre de Velay No. 1 is a composition that balances rich warmth with subtle complexity. The fragrance opens with a bright burst of bergamot, which cuts through the richness of the heart and base notes — a bouquet of rose, jasmine, and orange blossom softened by the earthy warmth of oud, leather, and sandalwood. This interplay between fresh citrus and deep, woody accords creates an inviting and nuanced scent that is both elegant and intimate.
Apply this fragrance with care — the top notes of bergamot are fleeting but vibrant. The base notes take about an hour to bloom fully, so a light application at first will ensure that the deep, warm accords can evolve on your skin without overpowering.
