The story behind the bottle.
Gilio by Salvatore Ferragamo was launched in 1960, crafted by the talented perfumer Sophie Labbé. This fragrance is a harmonious blend of woody and powdery accords, grounded by earthy and musky notes. The composition opens with angelica and Italian orris root before transitioning into a heart of jasmine and patchouli, leading to a base of sandalwood and vetiver that reads as a warm embrace of the earth. Gilio's enduring presence in Salvatore Ferragamo’s lineup speaks to its lasting appeal.
Gilio’s powdery base notes take their time to bloom fully. A single spray on each wrist will allow the fragrance to develop gradually throughout the day. This composition is best enjoyed close to skin, as it reads more softly across a room.
