L'Eau de Paille, launched by Serge Lutens in 2019 and crafted by Christopher Sheldrake, is an aromatic fougere that bridges the gap between fresh greenery and smoky earthiness. The fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of herbal and spicy notes before settling into a woody base with hints of amber and incense. This composition captures the essence of a walk through a misty forest after a light rain, where the air is crisp yet enveloped in the warmth of woodsmoke.
