Launched in 2018 by Serge Lutens and crafted by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, L'innommable is a complex Oriental fragrance that oscillates between the fresh and warm spicy notes, creating an enigmatic atmosphere. The composition opens with a sharp freshness that cuts through the air before giving way to rich amber and vanilla, grounding it in a warm and enveloping embrace. An underlying animalic note adds a subtle depth, making L'innommable both provocative and mysterious.
Apply L'innommable in light layers — the fresh spicy notes are fleeting but make way for a rich base that develops slowly over time. It’s best to let it build on skin rather than layering heavily, as this allows the animalic undertones to emerge gradually.
