Launched in 2006 by Serge Lutens and crafted by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake, Mandarine Mandarin is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that captures the essence of a sunny day with its vibrant citrus top notes. The fragrance opens with Chinese orange and mandarin orange, providing a fresh and zesty burst that transitions into a heart of nutmeg and tea, adding a subtle spiciness and herbal freshness. As it settles, amber, labdanum, tonka bean, and rose hip create a warm, sweet, and slightly woody base, enveloping the initial brightness with rich complexity.
Apply this fragrance in light sprays, as the bright citrus notes can be intense but fade quickly. The amber and tonka bean base notes develop slowly over time, so reapply if you want to maintain its warmth throughout the day.
