The story behind the bottle.
Santal Blanc by Serge Lutens was launched in 2001 and is a woody chypre fragrance created by perfumer Christopher Sheldrake. The composition opens with the warmth of cinnamon, which contrasts beautifully against the powdery elegance of iris and violet. As it settles into its musky base, Santal Blanc exudes an understated sophistication that feels both classic and contemporary. This fragrance is neither overtly sweet nor heavy; instead, it offers a subtle complexity that draws you in with each passing moment.
Santal Blanc is best applied in light layers — one or two sprays are enough. The cinnamon top note fades quickly, but the iris and violet heart notes linger, making it perfect for daytime to evening transitions without overpowering any setting.
