Serge Lutens launched Santal Majuscule Edition Numérotée in 2012 as a woody oriental fragrance for both women and men. The composition opens with a bold cacao note, which contrasts sharply against the warm spiciness of its heart. This is where rose comes into play, adding an unexpected floral touch that softens the overall intensity without overpowering the woodsy base notes. Santal Majuscule Edition Numérotée is a fragrance caught between two ideas: the rich earthiness of cacao and the smooth warmth of powdery woods.
This fragrance has a long-lasting base that takes time to bloom fully. Apply one generous spray initially; it will develop more warmth as it settles into your skin over the first hour or so. Best for cooler evenings when the powdery notes can truly shine.
