HeartThe Soul
The story behind the bottle.
Gambling by The House of Oud, launched in 2023 and crafted by perfumer Maurizio Cerizza, is a Woody fragrance that embodies the tension between risk and reward. Opening with a bold combination of whiskey and Sichuan pepper, it immediately captures the edge-of-your-seat excitement often associated with gambling. As the composition evolves, bergamot and coffee add a fresh, aromatic layer, while elemi resin and galbanum bring a green, earthy quality that grounds the scent. The base notes of vetiver, cedar, and guaiac wood create a woody depth, while ambrette and benzoin lend warmth and sensuality.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — its bold opening can be potent. Allow it time to develop on skin before adding more sprays if needed. It pairs well with cooler evenings and intimate settings.
