The story behind the bottle.
Torpe, launched by Tiziana Terenzi in 2023 and crafted by Paolo Terenzi, is a fragrance that embodies a distinctive blend of freshness and warmth. The composition opens with marine notes and citrus elements like Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian mandarin, creating an invigorating start. This gives way to a heart filled with Bulgarian rose, peony, and violet, adding layers of floral sweetness. The base notes of ambergris, musk, ebony, sandalwood, oakmoss, and patchouli bring depth and longevity, resulting in a scent that is both elegant and intimate.
Apply Torpe two sprays at a time. The marine and citrus notes are bright but fleeting, so they’re best paired with the longer-lasting base notes that develop over several hours. This fragrance reads better close to skin than across a room, making it ideal for more intimate settings.
