The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Versace, Eros Pour Femme was created by Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp, and Nathalie Lorson. This Floral Woody Musk fragrance opens with Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot, providing a fresh and zesty start. The heart is dominated by jasmine sambac and peony, adding a delicate floral touch that contrasts the initial brightness. The base notes of musk, ambroxan, and sandalwood bring warmth and depth, grounding the composition with a powdery woody finish.
Despite its widespread popularity among mainstream users, Eros Pour Femme has garnered mixed reviews within enthusiast circles. Critics often describe it as generic and overly mainstream, fitting into a broader trend of 'fresh, clean, soapy floral' releases that lack distinctiveness.
Apply two sprays to pulse points for a balanced effect. The citrus top notes are bright but fleeting; the musky base will gradually emerge and last well into the evening. Best suited for daytime wear when you want an approachable yet polished scent.
