The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015, Bois et Cuir by Vertus is a leather fragrance that balances the rugged warmth of woody and spicy notes with fresh, green accents. The composition opens with grapefruit and apple, bringing an unexpected brightness before settling into clary sage and lavender for a lush aromatic heart. Cedar and patchouli anchor the base, supported by amber, vanilla, and sandalwood, creating a scent that reads as both modern and lasting.
Bois et Cuir has a strong projection and longevity, so one or two sprays is sufficient. The grapefruit top notes are bright but fleeting, making way for the deeper woody and leathery base that lasts well into the evening.
