The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015, Vertus's 1001 is an Oriental Floral fragrance that marries warmth with complexity. The composition opens with the bright sting of cinnamon and cardamom, followed by a rich heart of saffron and ginger. These warm spices are balanced by citrus notes like lime and bergamot, creating a dynamic tension between heat and freshness. The base notes of amber, patchouli, cedar, and vanilla settle into a cozy, enveloping warmth that feels both intimate and luxurious.
One or two sprays are enough — the spicy top notes can be quite potent initially but settle into a more subdued warmth over time. This fragrance reads well close to skin rather than filling a room, so aim for pulse points like wrists and neck.
