The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2025 by WIDIAN and crafted by perfumer Philippine Courtière, Samar is an Oriental Floral fragrance that seamlessly blends warmth with floral elegance. The composition opens with the zesty burst of bergamot and raspberry, followed by a heart of gardenia, jasmine, and osmanthus, which adds a touch of sweetness and depth. The base notes of oud, vanilla, cinnamon, and patchouli create a rich, warm embrace that lingers throughout the day.
Samar projects well from the skin but takes about an hour for its full depth to emerge. A single spritz on each wrist is sufficient for daytime wear; for longer-lasting warmth, reapply after meals or towards evening.
