Launched in 2016, Hermetic by Xerjoff is a composition crafted by perfumer Christian Carbonnel that balances freshness and warmth with remarkable finesse. The scent opens with the zesty burst of lemon and black pepper, creating an immediate sense of vibrancy and energy. As it evolves, peach and ylang-ylang add layers of sweetness and floral notes, while Bulgarian rose brings a touch of elegance. The base notes of tonka bean, incense, guaiac wood, and caramel round out the fragrance with rich, smoky warmth.
Apply one or two sprays to pulse points, allowing the fragrance to develop naturally over time. The zesty top notes are bright but fleeting, so the initial spray is crucial for capturing that fresh spicy character before it transitions into its richer base.
