Tempest Perfume Extrait by Xerjoff, launched in 2023, is a bold and dynamic fragrance that encapsulates the essence of a stormy evening. The composition opens with bright citrus notes like lemon and calabrian bergamot, cutting through the air with an invigorating freshness. This gives way to a heart of lavender and jasmine sambac, creating a tension between aromatic and floral elements. As it settles, the base notes of Laotian oud, atlas cedar, and musk create a rich, animalic warmth that lingers long after the initial burst of brightness.
This fragrance has a strong projection, so one spray is often enough. The citrus and aromatic notes are bright but fade within an hour, making way for the warm base to take center stage. It's best applied closer to skin rather than sprayed widely across a room.
