Launched in 2023 by Pierre Montale for Montale, Oudyssee is a composition that bridges the fresh and the profound. The fragrance opens with sea notes and citrus — lemon and bergamot — creating an immediate freshness that feels like a coastal breeze. This bright start gives way to a heart of lavender and ginger, adding layers of aromatic warmth and spiciness. At its core, Oudyssee features oud, amber, musk, and mate, grounding the scent with rich woodsmoke and earthy depth. The result is a fragrance that moves seamlessly from morning freshness to evening depth.
Oudyssee's marine and citrus top notes are prominent for the first hour, so aim for two sprays initially. As the base notes settle in, you'll notice the scent becomes more intimate and less noticeable from a distance. Ideal for daytime or early evening wear.
